They are having a get together and meet and greet this upcoming Sat. We usually do training every month in the form of a two day FTX the third weekend of every month. However due tot the holidays we are taking a break until Jan. However Sat from 1200hrs to 21:00hrs we are doing a meet and greet "movie night" we will meet in the Garage at our training area and begin by watching Blackhawk down and discussing key points that should be learned, we will than watch some key training videos that our unit has put together for some of the newer guys. We will eat as very hearty large meal (and some pot luck) and than finish the evening with Saving Private Ryan and discuss core values and selfless service, and what it means to be a Militiaman (or woman) in your community.
This is a great opportunity for people to come out and meet the group, and see what the militia is all about and decide if it is for you, and meet our training staff etc to see if you want to get involved and start training with us, fighting with us, and helping out your community. I wanted a Winchester model 1890 or 1906 but only found a few examples and all were in questionable condition....so I found a Remington Model 12A. Produced in approx 1927 and has a period correct Weaver mount and scope on it. Great find, great condition and great price. Very pleased with it! Will post some pictures as soon as I can.

I also picked up some ammo cases and targets from Top Hat.
