Got a coupon "glve25" from a fella at Optics planet for $25 off the Burris AR-332 3x-32mm Prism Red Dot. It was supposed to be for a different model Burris, and I ended up being gifted the sight in the meantime. Coupon still works for anyone who wants to use it. Really good sight.

Magnetic Scope Mounts? Crazy you say!

Does anyone know where to buy magnetic scope mounts? I've done some research and at one time they actually existed. I can certainly think of some drawbacks, yet I have some old lever actions and do not want to drill and tap them as this will affect their value, etc.

The lever actions have a flat top receiver which makes them a good candidate for magnetic mounts. Sounds crazy I know, yet I would try them if I could find them at any reasonable price.

So, thanks in advance.

I've emailed their customer service twice with no response yet over the past two weeks. Has anyone else had any experience with getting an Aimpoint RDS serviced?

Questions on Simmons 4-14x44 AETEC

I just purchased a Simmons 4-14x44 AETEC (512104t). The instructions issued w/ the scope were very sparse. I assume that the mil-dots are true mil-dots (1 mil = 3.438 moa like USMC and not 1 mil = 3.6 moa like the Army). Can someone verify?

Also, I assume that the ranging must be done at a 10X magnification. There was no information provided w/ the scope to suggest what magnification the ranging should be done at. Can someone tell me?

Finally, I was disappointed w/ the focusing. Although a side focus, the min to max focusing range was not very fine - less than 1/2 turn of the knob. Also, there is no indication of distance on the focusing knob. The sight adjustments were just like a traditional scope - no target turrets here.

I was looking for lasers for my 2 pistols. I want to get crimson trace for both but I see that they do not make one for the glock 21. I could settle for the Lasermax but I don't like the activation for the laser with that system; its too clumsy. Anyone know of a laser for the glock 21 that uses a similar grip activation?
