"Me thinks this dumbass loaded them a little to hot. What do you think?

A guy came into our shop the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new load and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash. When the tweety birds cleared, this is what he saw....."

I haven't shot it yet and probably won't have time until next week. I'll get more pics taken then too.

I finally got around to putting together another AR15. I wanted something different from all the other EBRs out there so I decided to go two tone FDE / Black.
I wanted to keep the rifle light so my wife could easily shoot it and hopefully get her out to the range more often.
I'm not sure of what kind of optic I want to put on it yet, but here she is all put together so far.
(I think I need to buy a new camera first. This F-ing pink line sucks  )

the ingredients:

RRA lower
RRA parts kit
LMT upper 1/7 twist, FA BCG
Magpul ACS stock
Magpul MOE hand guards
Magpul enhanced trigger guard
Ergo grip
ARMS #40 rear BUIS

The stripped lower and trigger guard were sent to Customized Creationz for their custom Cerakote finish in FDE.

http://www.customizedcreationz.com/

I painted the roll stamps with Testors model paint

Yep. This 92 manufactured Ruger P-85 had some rough life. Scratches everywhere and dirty(although hard to see in pics). She more then likely haven't seen bore brush in years... No oil on frame rail.laceration on grip panel.
But I know Ruger P-seriese guns - specialy all metal ones - are about as indistructable as firearm can be, and reliable weapons, and I know there are some potential left in this ugry duckling...

That, and I got it for $200.

(in this pic, you can see that big scratch straight up and down - Slide is full of scratch like that. Just my cheap camera don't show it..)

After spending some time with toothbrush, patch, metal polish, and 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000grid wet sand paper, it cleaned up!

I actualy got it to mirror shine, but because I don't know how to remove safety lever off of frame, it was sort of odd looking - slide polished to mirror shine, except around safety lever. So i hit it again with 800grid to bring it more like machined look...

I'll take it out to shoot it today, and how she do!

Finished modifing this for a friend who has wanted me to do one for quite awhile. Started as older 870 Magnum, has the upgraded all metal trigger group and I stripped the parts and commercial EN plated for rust prevention and to make the parts very slick (added benefit of EN plating is how smooth it makes everything.) Custom Extended Stainless steel Safety Selector, Made a custom mount for the shell carrier and plated to match weapon, Modified to work with the factory LEO Remington Metal top folding stock, modified the top folder to work with the vent rib barrel, MAde a custom sling mount for the Top folder pivot point and Plated to match weapon, Modified the enhanced Remington forearm to work with the shell carrier and re-stained to match, Took the Vent rib barrel and shortened to 18 inches and re-crowned barrel added the fiber optic front triangle sight, Added Plus two magazine extension and wilson spring with scattergun follower, Made a 1.5 inch webbing sling and added sling keepers. Stripped and prepped all metal and plated entire weapon and sub components in commercial EN plating and gave it a satin non reflective finish. MY pictures do it no justice. Truly did turn out great and the action is silky smooth.
Figured you guys might like a look.

Just figured I'd take some time to show off a quick picture of the AR15 I'm building. It's my first one and I started it back in January but with the lack of in stock parts and the loss of my job I put it off, until now. The parts are an RRA lower I bought at East Coast Gun Sales in Duncansville, LPK, pistol grip and stock are from M & A Parts, and the upper is from Bravo Co.

I am a revolver guy, as many of you may or may not know. However, I traded a fine revolver for a P7 (PSP) from an excellent member here on the forum a short while ago. Since I received that P7, I have fallen in lust for the accuracy, reliability and down right awesomeness of this finely crafted forged steel, milled to perfection gas retarded weapon.

Here is a picture of the pistol as I received it:

Awesome indeed. However, I wanted to change a little something on this fine weapon. Namely, the finish. Robar was having a special last month for Roguard and NP3 refinishing of entire weapons and one magazine included. The deal was 10% off and free return shipping. This was a deal I could not refuse, and it saved me approximately 100 USD. (yes, shipping is expensive as hell)

I sent the pistol to Robar with the instructions for them to apply the Roguard Matte finish to the majority of the externals and NP3 the internals including the firing pin bushing (they did in good taste NP3'd the cocking lever, takedown button, slide lock and mag release as well) and to NP3 the three additional magazines I included with the pistol. Enough said, here are the pics:

Pistol and four mags.

Close up.

Take down button close up.

NP3 internals.

Cool NP3 on the extractor and cocker.

NP3 firing pin bushing assembly.

NP3 on the slide lock.

If you look careful, you will see the silver NP3 on the firing pin assembly.

Close up of internals.

Close up of internals on the other side.

Happy stuff, now I just need to mount the night sights.

And all assembled and lubed, ready for the range and carry :)
