So my buddy and I went to SGL off of 309N by the Lehigh Valley Zoo (not sure about the SGL#) to try out his new SR556 he picked up the other day from The Golden Trigger gunshop in Emmaus (great little shop by the way). WOW is it nice, they come with Troy battle sights, a hogue grip, 3 P-Mags, qaud rail, soft case, very nice package. The range was PACKED ! I was hoping more people would be at labor day picnics or doing family stuff but no such luck. The gun ran great, 100%. All in all was a pretty good trip. Oh yeah except for the girl at the other end of the range who starts shooting her pistol after everyone yelled ALL CLEAR and a couple guys start walking down range. Holy shit man, are you trying to kill someone. New shooter or not people have to pay the hell attention.(the girl) I say that because she didnt look very experienced, I know I shouldnt judge by looks but, her actions pretty much summed it up though.

I recently ordered a Springfield scout/squad M1A. I will be picking it up this week. I plan on shooting with the irons to start but would then like to put the scout concept to use. I really would like to put a Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x scope but am concerned about the eye relief.

I measured the distance between the scout rail and my eye with a proper cheek weld. The distance was about 14". Also, I should consider that when I mount the scope the eyepiece will be closer to my eye as well.

I looked at the Accupoint model mentioned above and at 14" the eye relief was not great but seemed acceptable.

Am I forgetting something? Does anyone have experience with this type of set up? Thank you for any information you can share.

Up for sale is a beautiful S+W 640-1 357 magnum. I rate this gun at 99%. Never carried and shot very little with mostly 130gr 38 spl. The finish is as perfect as you can get. This is one of Smith's older 640 357 magnums with out the lock and MIM internal parts. It locks up tight and has a silky smooth trigger. It comes with the original box. So if your looking for a 640 from back in the good old days in super great condition this is it. Asking

I live in a very rural community.

On an early Thursday morning from my bed I heard a loud bang that sounded like a door being kicked in.

I retrieved my .40 and debated whether to assume a proactive stance or maintain a defensive position at the top of the stairs in my house.

I decided to creep downstairs and check the main entrance - nothing.

I checked all of the windows; all were secure.

Finally, I went down the cellar steps only to find all OK.

I checked out the whole house.

Some months earlier 2 guys tried to break in to a neighbors house (older lady) by propping up a ladder, so I was concerned.

I never found out what the noise was but was able to get back to sleep with confidence. My wife never woke up.

What would I have done without my pistol and, just suppose, that it was what it sounded like?!

Anyone want to debrief me on with what you might have done?

I am new to the SBR process. I have a CZ Skorpion that I aquired in a trade. I would like to go through the legal process of attaching a folding stock to it and turn it from a handgun into a SBR. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in Eastern PA who can walk me through the process and do this work for me?

How difficult is the SBR process with the paperwork/ATF? Does the ATF hassle you?

Thanks!
