Erie police are investigating a reported home invasion robbery in which an East 18th Street couple lost a small amount of cash after they said they were held at gunpoint late Wednesday night.
Lavon Hinton and Vashanti Clark told police they were inside their apartment at 2224 E. 18th St. at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday when three to four men entered through a window and forced them at gunpoint onto the floor. The robbers then spent 30 to 40 minutes ransacking the apartment, the victims told police. The robbers also took the keys to their vehicles and ransacked them before leaving, according to the police report on the incident. The victims reported that a small amount of cash was taken in the robbery, police said. No one was injured in the incident.
