Default renewing at Hbg courthouse

went downtown Harrisburg yesterday to renew my LTCF its not up till april but i have been off work and figured to get it done while thinking about it..

after 20 minutes waiting for the officer to find the guy in front of me's license, he informs me that he "cannot" take my renewal app until 2-3 weeks prior to the due date...

just thought i would let anyone know that might want to go early

also , every time i go in there they move them to a smaller office the one there in now is like a closet!! inside up the steps and straight to the door

Just curius, is that one of the court houses you can check a firearm at? And if you can do they give you any hassle? I gotta renew there next year.

yes, you can check your weapon before you enter the Dauphin County Courthouse. But then again, by next year, they could be changing the rules...so pay attention, I have to renew mine in April of 09

note i just renewed and did it on Linglestown rd at state rep Ron Marsico's office, there is a sheriff's rep there mon and wed from 5-7 pm

just to let you know if its more convenient than running downtown to the courthouse...

i think total cost is $30 bucks 16 up front and 14 when you pick it up a week later
