Re: West Shore Sportsman Club
Yup, I think it was a good move to have all of us new members leave the main room and go into the range for our training. I'm sure the existing members enjoyed the extra space in the clubhouse for the rest of the meeting too. I will not be surprised if they decide to cap membership at some point in the future based on some comments and general attitude I sensed from some of the existing members. That, coupled with the fact that the minutes from last month's meeting mentioned it being brought up then as well... I think if they have a few more months with new membership accruals like they had this month and last month (I think they said this month was the biggest new member 'class' they've ever had) the discussion of capping membership is going to keep coming up.

Totally agree. I suspect membership will be closed shortly. I was glad I got in, thats for sure.

Re: West Shore Sportsman Club
I'm thinking about heading down to the club sometime on Sunday to do a little shooting. Has anyone been there recently to know if I should expect it to be crowded with all the new members joining the last few months?

Re: West Shore Sportsman Club
I have been a member there for a year and a half and I go there quite often and have never seen it too crowded that I could not shoot. Unless of course there is an event planned. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend, so that may bring some more people out. I think you will be fine.

Need to invite myself to visit WSSA...
I'm looking at visiting WSSA for the first time, and to also shoot my new XDMc .40 for the first time. I'm really anxious to shoot this one in.

Re: West Shore Sportsman Club
If you're looking to just get a tour of the facility I'd suggest emailing the membership secretary from their web page and seeing what he can do. He's been very responsive to my emails in the past, but he is busy since membership numbers have been taking off so much.
As far as finding someone to give you take you shooting there, it might be a little bit harder if they don't know you. When you take guests you're supposed to sign them in at the clubhouse.- I support Israel; "If guns kill people my pencil causes bad spelling."
