THAT'S IT.

Ball Peen hammers and sugarcubes are now banned from National Parks. What were we thinking letting these items in.

I was pulled over on 209 in the national park area by a ranger for an inspection sticker violation. I handed him my ID along with my CCW and informed him thet for my safety and his I have a loaded .40 on my right hip. His reply was " yiu are carrying now? I said yes and he said thank you.

Nothing further.

I think some of you guys are going way overboard with this. I've conceal carried in the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area numerous times and never had an issue. I've even talked to a few rangers who really don't give a shit if you have an LTC. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't PA just pass a new bill that says that you can now conceal carry in the parklands as long as you have an LTC and you can also carry while hunting.

I think that the Ranger was happy that I had informed him, He didn't write the citation.

It is my understanding that the LTCF allows carry while hunting but does affect carry in State Parks. I believe the law falls in a grey area. Some State Parks allow hunting and others do not. For example Presque Isle State only allows some limited duck and goose hunting as well as an occasional cull for deer. State parks that already allow hunting would seem hard pressed to disallow CCW, certainly not during hunting season.
