Kudos to Lancaster, PA Sheriffs

My wife and I were going to the sheriff's office in Lancaster last week, she was finally submitting her carry permit!

I had mine.

At the security check, before emptying my pockets, I informed the deputy that I had a firearm on me.

He asked if I had a permit? I said yes, and he asked to see it first. Then he asked me to empty my pockets for x-ray check, and leave the firearm alone.

He called another deputy to walk me through the metal detector, then to a room down the hallway where he secured it in a locker.

Very polite!

When we were done, He gave me the key to unlock the locker, I racked the slide, re holstered my pistol, and walked with me past security.

They couldn't have been more courteous.

sjl127, If anyone tried to enter into Luzerne county SD with a firearm they would have been asked to leave and come back without it...dumb I know.

Or they would have tackled you to the ground and beat on you and said you pulled a gun on them...You know some cops these days...CRAZIER THAN THE CRIMINALS!
