So who was having the domestic? The people you were visiting?

Who is the person who told the people outside you were carrying?

What role did the people outside have to do with the domestic at the house you were in?

Your problem is with the person or persons who said you were waiving a gun around and the person who told them you were carrying.

And who is "they" as in "they yelled it out"?

Where you arrested? Aggravated assault with the deadly weapon is a Felony of the second degree. Thats not something where, "you'll get the charges in the mail". You'd be arrested, taken in front of a judge on the charges to see if you could post bail or go directly to jail.

Your story is hard to follow, but I would recommend you get a lawyer.

I mean what I am about to say with all do respect!. That story would be much easier to follow if correct grammer and punctuation were used. As is, I hardly understand what happened. I wish you the best and hope you repeat the story and everyone at this great site is able to help rectify your problem!

Sounds like you are the victim of a bad rap based on what you posted...get a lawyer RIGHT NOW.

Do not talk to anyone without a lawyer present and DO NOT sign anything and DO NOT plea bargain or you could lose your rights forever.

Get a lawyer and get a jury trial lined up and look into pursuing the person who falsely accused you with a civil suit and also look into getting them charged with filing a false report. This person is ruining your life so fight back legally.

Above all, the above is just my $.02. I am not a lawyer- get one now!

your story is a tad hard to follow, which is reasonable as i'm sure your pretty shaken up. maybe you could add more a little later.. from what i got out of it, and this is all my opinion, get a lawyerand get one fast. where you fghting with family and the police where called? and who was the one that told the person that said you waved the gun that you had? your going to need several whitnesses saying you never waived it. what police dept. is charging you if you dont mind me asking? hopefully the people calm down and eventually tell the police the truth because that will be a long exspensive uphill battle. if what you say is true best of luck to you, and keep intouch with this forum as there as many polie officers and lawyers around here, and mnyother who know gun laws in and out.

Agreed.

I'm sure if you hit them with a civil suit, they might drop the charges to avoid the hassle.

Fortunately, if it happened as he said, it's only simple assault. Good thing you have plenty of witnesses to say you didn't do anything.

I am getting a odd feeling about this post. I'm not saying it isn't true but this person joined on 15 Aug this was his first post (1:22 AM 15 Aug). He had a second post at 1:31 AM 15 Aug about GPS's (Lounge).

Steve, you and others asked some good questions to help clarify and maybe be able to give better help but he has not replied to anyones questions yet (as I type this it is 4:09PM 15 Aug)

He said he was being charged with assault with a weapon, terroristic threats, etc. Would he not have been arrested on the spot for these offenses? He did not give any time frames when this was supposed to have happened.

I do not know what gave me this feeling that something just did not seem right, maybe it was the way it was written (bad grammar, punctuation, lack of any "hard" facts). We have seen these before and maybe that is what tripped my "something is wrong here" feeling.

Your best bet is to stay away from situations of domestic violence or disturbences with your firearm whenever possible. There is always that possibility there will be one idiot that will lye, or say something stupid and jam you up. Take the advice from the folks here. SAY NOTHING UNTIL YOUR LAWYER IS PRESENT! ...Good Luck !

Closing this thread. The OP modified his initial post indicating he got the advice he needed.
