Default Knoebels: weapons/firearms policy?

Anyone know if Knoebels has a weapons policy or no guns policy?

I assume you mean for OC purposes?

Its been a while since I've been down there, but I don't remember seeing any signs. Of course, things may have changed.

I would be very surprised if they didn't have some kind of anti-gun policy.

Knoebel's does have a web site....but I'm pretty sure Hershey's owns the park now...so, I'd wager you can expect the same policies.

BTW, went to Hershey's on Sunday...when did they start charging for parking? What a rip off!

When I went to Hershey's, I was "fully dressed", but you might want to skip the rides (other then a Merry Go Round).
I didn't see any policy statements on the Knoebel site either.

You could always present your no guns/no business card if you get a hard time.
The wife and kids may be pissed though.

They have been charging for parking for at least 7 or 8 years now. My wife and I have had season passes for about 17 years but we may stop next year. We do the rides and the shows, but lately the shows seem to be fewer and of less quality. Also, most of the new rides are water rides, which we don't do. But mostly even the high prices don't seem to be keeping the rif-raf out anymore. A few years ago it really was a family park, but now I hear as much "street language" there as on the street. All those buses form Philly and Baltimore wouldn't have anything to do with that...would they???

Oh, yea...I forgot. I think it's safe to assume that any private enterprise that caters to large numbers of people like an amusement park will have a "no guns or weapons" policy. They may not have it posted, but if you ask that's what they will tell you. I'll even go so far as to say that no one will be able to find such a venue that will officially say "sure, concealed guns are fine with us...bring "em on in!"

Directly from the aforementioned web-site:

Welcome to Knoebels web site. Please feel free to look around and enjoy all we have to offer. Knoebels has been owned and operated by the Knoebel family since 1926. Located in Elysburg, PA, the park is situated in a beautiful pine and hardwood forest

So Hershey Parks policy is irrelevant. I have carried many times at Knoebels. A good fanny-pack is the order of the day. Be careful on the coasters.

These kind of places are where "concealed carry" truely do come in handy. This is also the place that those little pocket pistols come in handy. I can throw the snubbie in the front pocket. Extra rounds in the other. And ride the rides all day long, without my pistol being jammed into my back on the rides, or fearing my shirt will come up and the family behind me sees my pistol and panics thinking I am some kind of terrorist psycho.
