Just like any other private property.
They can make any rules they want (well, except those that deny services to "protected classes", IE: minorities) You can NOT be arrested for merely breaking a rule. If you break a rule and they catch you they can ask you to leave. If you refuse you can be charged with trespass. Then you can be arrested. They can also "expel" you, of course. |

You go to Penn I take it? They will expel your ass if they catch you, but you wouldn't be doing anything illegeal carrying a gun on campus. This is one of the more common topic to come up. You basically have to weigh your $$$ investment against your desire to carry times your probability of getting caught. The whole proposition becomes a lot less risky if you live off campus, because no one can randomly search your room on a tip without a warrant.
A little piece of advice, member to member- dont tell anyone, anyone, that you keep guns in your place. I had a buddy I thought was completely cool. One night he comes home drunk as shit with some silly bitch and and asks me to show her my Glock! This was when I was under 21 and living on campus- not a good situation at all. I ended up paranoid and stashing my gun elsewhere for the rest of the year. A person you can trust to stfu is 1 in 1000. Looking back, keeping a gun on that campus is a risk I shouldn't have taken- I dont know where Id be without that degree. Don't get caught, man- dont trust anyone, dont talk about your packing until you get that degree mailed to you. It's your ticket to easy-street and you dont want to risk it for the 1 in 1 million chance you get attacked in a way you can influence with your ccw. |

yes, i carry on campus with the full knowledge that if i'm caught i'll be expelled. There are no legal repercussions, however, if i leave when asked.

Thanks for the advice, all.
I was doing thinking and realized that the UFA supercedes everything - the University may have Cops, they might even make an illegal arrest of me, they couldn't legally charge me, BUT As Zach said: Quote:
The risk of off campus crime VS the risk of getting caught by the Cops/ or a leftist classmate. I'll think about it. Oh, I'm a private citizen; I don't live in the dorms (hah! Im too old for that!). Hmmm.... thanks for the words, everyone
