Question Luzerne County LTCF permits

Can anyone explain to my why when applying for a concealed carry permit in Luzerne county(enough said) that one person has to wait for their permit while another is issued one on the spot! I applied for my permit, renewal, on Sept 21st and am still waiting to be contacted regarding it. My neighbor who reapplied 1 week later received his permit the same day. Has anyone heard of this before. I called regarding my permit today and was told if I don't hear anything after 45 days I must appear in person to inquire about it. I'm confused.

Default Re: Luzerne County LTCF permits

It all depends on the work load and how many people they have working on it at the time. mine took over 4 weeks to get, BUT it was hand delivered by a Sheriff Deputy right to my house. I guess that sometimes they just dont have the manpower due to budget cuts, etc.

Give them a call... I did after 4 weeks and they were very helpful about it, and called me back in about 1/2 hour with an answer.

Good luck

I have always had mine in a few minutes. As a matter of fact the last time I went for my new one the computer was down. I was told to come back the next day they were open. I asked couldn't I just leave the paperwork and check. I was told no.

Went back the next day and was out of there in 15 minutes.
