lol, one last time from the top

SBR, SBS, AOW meets the definition of firearm. They are just like a handgun under state carry law. They may be carried openly on foot without license. They may be carried concealed, or in a vehicle, or in a city of the first class, or in a declared state of emergency with an LTCF. They may be loaned to an LTCF holder (State law. Fed law on NFA may preclude lending, I'm not sure.)

Long guns >16 inch barrel/26 inches overall (Dimensions are from memory, double check) have nothing what so ever to do with an LTCF, and may be carried openly, or concealed on foot loaded or unloaded. They may be carried unloaded in a vehicle, but not loaded.

ETA: To be unloaded the ammo and gun must be in seperate containers, and IIRC the outside pockets on a soft rifle case qualifies for this. In otyher words AK in a case, with loaded mags in the cases outside pockets = perfectly legal.

ETA again: I do not advise OCing an SBR/SBS in a city of the first class. Ley's get them squared away on handguns first

I don't recall police stations being a prohibited place, but you may want to double check on the court question. Often some sort of court will be located in the same building as the police department. For example here in Lebanon the police, sheriff, courts, and a variety of other local municipal offices are in the same building. Of course if there is a court then they are obligated to provide storage lockers for checking your firearm.

Federal law precludes lending, unless you are present. Sorta like letting someone shoot your SBS, SBR, AOW, DD, MG, etc at the range with you present.

I remember when I picked up my LTCF, for the first time. I asked the York county sheriff. "do I get any kind of info on carrying a firearm", and he gave me this dumb look, and told me carry it any way you like. lol. I remember leaving after that and saying to myself (What A Great State)

I asked the same question to the Lancaster Sheriff back in 2000 and was told there were no written guidelines they could provide and to look up the laws myself. Felt really reassured by that! Only wish I had known about PAFOA before last April!

Please correct as it has been propagated to other sites, as law, from PAFOA.
