All I see around the forums here are these training classes. Whether new to guns or not, guys seem to rack up training. I figure, the more training you have on your "record" the better. Especially when making a case to get non resident CCW's from other states. I have enough for Florida. However with other states it couldn't hurt my case, or hurt me for that matter. More training = better gun handler.
Problem is, I live in Altoona. There is nothing around here. I don't have the time and money to drive somewhere and stay overnight. I want to go to something relatively close and there seems to be nothing. I figured being Altoona...one of the areas more 'populated' areas...there would be more training. Does anyone know of anything? Also, side question. I'm sure I know the answer to this but I'll ask anyway. When getting "training", say someone is a formal instructor for a government agency...but they are no longer. Can you be 'trianed' by them and have them sign a document and that count as training? |

Thanks, I appreciate it, but I don't have anyone to round up. It's just me that wants the training. Suppose I'm outa luck.

Its about 80-90 miles or so from Pittsburgh, depending on where your going to course.
I don't know people at my clubs (the ones I currently belong to). They aren't exactly happening places, that's why I go there. I was shot at at my old club. Vast majority of the time I never even see anyone when I'm there. Last edited by Franky4Fingers; October 8th, 2009 at 06:16 PM. |
