If you are a non resident of PA, you can get a non resident permit.
This is from the PSP's webiste: Quote:
Go HERE to find your county's info.

When I was stationed in NC while I was in the Marines, I was able to buy a resident hunting license.
Maybe for some things you can, others you can't. Best to give them a call. Outside the US is a totally different situation, it has nothing to do with being a resident of the country you are in. Being stationed at a base in the US is what matters. |

Exactly. When in doubt, call first.

Steve is pretty darn close. Your military ID card gives you the ability to reside on paper in one state while being considered a resident of another state. Its sorta like having dual citizenship. Example- You have a PADL and are stationed in ft campbel KY if you want to buy a car it must be registered where you have your license --or-- you can change your drivers license and register in ky. Both are fine. Your military orders say the government put you here and that is where you live by the militarys sayso. You can't just leave and live in texas. You live here. I bought guns in virginia, kentucky, tennessee, and georgia. The transfer laws of each of the states applies. Two months outta the service I was waiting for the waiting period buying a pistol and regretting not getting it in KY where it was sold over the counter like candy. Hope this helps.

I had my LTC once I turned 21 and have had it ever since and I just retired 26 Yrs in the USAF. I always kept it up to date. I also had LTO in other states I was stationed in. Never a problem.
