Default Bring out of state pistol to PA

I am a resident of NJ and would like to know which PA permits I need, if any, to be able to bring my pistol to a range in PA.

don't carry it loaded in a car or conceled or through Philly open carry without a ltcf. you can apply for an out of state permit. if it is unloaded and the ammo and firearm are secured in seperate containers in your trunk while going to/from your home/ business to the range you're fine I am not a lawyer. if you get an out of state ltcf youre covered! Get one anyway!

That's great to know. I would like everyone to know that I am a big fan of PA, my current job gave me the option to relocate to PA or NJ and I should have opted for PA.

Now a more difficult question.

I travel for work to central PA and generally stay for a couple of day's.
Can I bring my pistol on my trip to shoot a couple of rounds at a local range after work?

To get a Pa. out-of-state license he has to have a N.J. license.

this is incomplete! with any ltcf ccw permit from any state you can carry it IN A VEHICAL only once you step out of the car onto public property (a parking lot EVEN GETTING GAS!) you better have one that is recognized by PA or you would HAVE to open carry it! That's right you'd be forced to open carry the whole time in PA if you didn't have a recognized ltcf/ccw permit!

correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the act of transporting a hand gun without a LTCF in pa requires that you be heading to or from a range or gun smith. just unloading driving around getting out and loading back up is not legal
