Virginia bound

Any odd rules or laws that differ from PA. I have ltcf and assume the reciprocity is amicable and similar. Any one have anything I should know about transport or places which serve alcohol.

I did look at VA website and found transport and carry laws vague. Lots of it is a crime if.......... but little "green light, go" info.

i have been working down their for a few months now and the one thing i learned. was that if you are in a bar or an establishment that serves alcohol and you are carrying you must open carry.aint that cool.just remember if you are going dwen through md you must stop and lock you sidearm in the trunk.

You are partially correct--concealed carry is disallowed in establishments that serve alcohol for on-site consumption. You can open carry in such places, though.

Other than that, you are pretty much clear. If you are planning on going to any federal property, detention facilities, K-12 places, private property where the owner forbids carry, state parks, places of worship, etc., or Virginia Commonwealth University, then you may not be so free and clear. I'll assume that you aren't for now.

Going into restaurants that serve alcohol and entering private property that is posted against firearms comes to mind as reasons why one would lock the firearm in a vehicle.

I think the fact that Arlington is .gov property is the point of his inquiry.

I don't understand this part. Correct me if I'm wrong, but politically, Arlington is a part of VA.
