How many spare mags do you carry?

How many spare magazines do you generally carry on your person? It may be helpful to tell us in your response how many rounds are in each magazine as well.

I usually carry one spare. (13 rounds, .45ACP)

Can't really vote as it depends on a whole slew of variables including carry mode, dress, gun(s) carried, CC/OC, etc etc.

I carry 2 extra 16 round mags of .40 plus the one in the gun and the one in the pipe for a total of 49 round. I would probably carry another 1 or 2 mags if i had the money for the ammo and the extra mags. I would rather have too much ammo than run out.

1 on my person. 17 extra rounds. i carry it more in case of mag failure than in case i run out of ammo...but the added ammo part is certainly nice as well--ya never know.

if i am carrying a backpack (about 50% of the time), then i often throw a couple more in there...just because, well, why not.

It depends on what the voices are telling me to do...

Sometimes all I have is my derringer, my snubby, or any one other of my pistols with only what is in it.

Then there are other times I have 3-4 handguns with speedloaders and more mags than I can count, AND my SBS strapped to my back with a few spare shells in my pockets.

But most of the time its just one gun with only what is in it.

I've been carrying only one spare magazine lately... a 13 round magazine.

I carry a 3" 1911 45 auto single stack
8 rounds in the gun (1 in the pipe)
2 - 7 round spare mags
All Wilson Combat mags of course!

i have 13 rounds 115gr GDHP in my compact 9mm and 1 spare magazine with 12 rounds of 147gr GDHP. i keep my spare magazine in a leather large pocket knife holster.

One spare ten-round mag (.40) to go with the high-cap (11 round [!]) Law Enforcement Only Ruger factory mag in the gun, +1.

I carry 2 spare 13 Rd .45 plus one in the sidearm one in the pipe...One just never knows...plus one box of ammo in truck lol.
