Default applying for LTCF

I want to apply for my LTCF.

When I buy a firearm and they do the PICS check, the operator ALWAYS
comes on and I have to present my reversal letter from when I filed a challenge.

When I put in my app, should I just give them a copy of the reversal letter at
that time since I assume that they will get the same result they get in a store?

Thanks,

I'm curious about this... I've heard that you're supposed to keep a copy of a reversal letter for future purposes and present it, but after my first purchase I never needed to show it again.

I always thought that, once they have the reversal "on the computer", there should never be a need to show it again... and that seems to be the case in my instance.

Does anyone know under what circumstances the PICS checks would keep asking for a former reversal letter?

I've been told that its very common to always be asked for this after a reversal.
I cant speak for the accuracy of that information, but I've heard it from several sources.

When you got your letter, did it have a personal ID number (I forget the exact name) also for you to enter on the paperwork? It seems you would only need that number and not the letter itself?

Isn't there a space on the PA record of sale form for this number?

Not that I know of. I might be wrong, I haven't filled out that many of them, but I dont think I'd have missed that.

The letter does have an ID number that they have to give on the phone, but I've never seen a spot for it on the form.

I would give them the number right off the bat, before they call it in. That would probably take care of it.

i just applied for my cc on 3-19. when i gave clerk in sheriffs dept in basement a copy of my reversal letter, she said it wasnt needed as it has nothing to do with the pics check they do for the cc license. she did say i may receive a denial and at that time i can send a copy of the reversal letterand that should take care of the issue. im keeping my fingers crossed. as usual, anytime you deal with local government, no two circumstances are usually alike, but i will say that everyone i dealt with that day was very courteous and pleasant, unlike the peoples republic of nj i came from 2 years ago. i should have moved herfe years ago. good luck !!
