"That's not Rich! See, he doesnt have the mustache."

"It would probably be cheaper to get the Depends instead of a thong..."

"...Canadian Wallpaper Festival..."

"You cant keep putting your hand up at an auction." "But Im smoking my cigarette!"

"Call 'Mommy'."

Had a blast. Currently recovering from the food coma of multiple helpings of chili, chili, sausages, chili dogs, chili burgers, potato salad, and I think a chili brownie or two.

Aside from the early roll-through by the water nazi, we had a constable roll through the park, doing what looked like a security check. When he stopped his car near the restroom, PaPatriot stated that he suddenly had the urge to pee, and headed off in that direction. Not wanting to miss out on any fun, I followed after him to see what happened. Unfortunately, he apparently really did have to pee. He disappeared into the ladies room for a few minutes. I am only left to questions without answers.

Big thanks to Pennsy for giving me a ride in his phone to the party, Mrs. Patriot for her walking, and everybody for the kickass food, company, and donations to great causes.

Pennsy? All I can say is you are a DEAD MAN when Tootie sees you next time for your little comment on the picture. Secondly, you JUST HAD to use the one picture when I am trying to scream over the crowd right?

Lastly I just have to say this in public ..... some of you have seen me and Wild Bill Klinton beat the hell out of each other here on politics. Well I am going to eat some of my words here and say it in front of the whole gang, Bill & I agree on more than you would ever see here and we found that out today. He is a gentleman that is willing to debate you logically face to face, willing to listen to your side and accept it .... if I were a resident of Dupont I would be proud to vote for him as the new mayor .... Bill, my hats off to you for not being all talk!

To all the rest I met today for the first time, I may not remember all the names but it was damn nice talking to all of you, bantering points and just shooting the bull. To see such a diverse group of people, all thoughts and mindsets come together for the common goal is amazing!

OH and last but not least to Frenchy. I got one of your pens in the auction and all I can say is WOW. The craftsmanship is beyond profession. I will treasure that pen for many years .... very VERY nicely done!
Thank you, Il be making a few more for the Child with Cancer, Like I said, I got sort of lazy lately and put things off, but I have to get those 4 done.

Wonder if our phone a pen pal won...

I had to take the day off Thursday because I was a little under the weather otherwise I was going to go... Pen making equipment and all.

Maybe some day we can do that some where, the lathe is portable, I can get a bunch of blanks together, or even just bring every thing needed and we can have people make their own pens. (it is more simple then it looks)

Lets see,
  • Bench drill X 2
  • cut off saw
  • lathe
  • generator
  • waxes and polishing cloths
  • box of wood and antlers...
  • kits, glues and press.
yup it all would fit in the pick up truck, just need a couple of tables and we would be set.

Well, the last of the after picnic guests left nearly an hour ago now, an I'm pretty spent, so I'll keep this brief and expand a needed tomorrow

Today was success defined. Even though we had a late start Sorry about that

We made a large contribution to the Red Cross and Mr.s Pa did a great job as our ambassador at the walk. We are all very proud of her for her efforts today. Rumor has it the Red Cross is pretty happy too
She has some tales to tell about that experience. She said the opening ceremony and dedications were very well done and very moving.

We had roughly 80+ people at the peak of the day. Included in todays attendance were no less than 10 local people, that I noticed or were brought to my attention, not affiliated or familiar with PAFOA or PAOC that stopped out to say hi and see what all the hubbub was about. The 7 or 8 I spoke with were very interested in what we were doing and are probably (hopefully) members by now

The Auction was a hoot! Pennsy should consider autioneering as a profession. Speaking of which, Frenchy' pens all brough $65 each. All 4 of them. A big thanks for that generous donation.

Another big thank you to Gunlawyer001. A last minute donation by Phil was a seat in one of his upcoming law workshops. That brought another $80

A big thank you to all who participated, donated, brought the food, or just pitched in by lending a hand when needed. The list is too long to post. Thanks everyone.

Also, we have 2, abandoned coolers that we rescued One is a Coors Light soft cooler and the other is a blue cooler with wheels and a big handle... Let me know if these sound familiar

Wow I sould quit my full time job and just make pens, then get Pennsy to auction them off, even if I gave him 1/4 i would be making more then I am now!

It was fun making them and it was for a good cause, Thanks to all of you who bought one!
