I addressed mine specifically to the County Commissioner Chairman by name, not "To Whom it May Concern." That lets them know you know who they are.

This is a good start and a great way to stand up for our 2A rights. Make sure you follow up if you recieve a letter back stating that they will not change the signs or "will look into it"

It may be necessary to formally object to the signs at a township meeting(if there is such a thing?) I would be happy to help if needed since I work in Montgomery county every day.

If the illegal restriction was enacted by the county, parties should attend a County Commissioners meeting, not a township meeting.

Thanks for the info.

I really need to invest some time to study how local government works!

just FYI, I am not a resident. There was no address I could find for the Commissioner so I sent it to the "Human Services Center" which was what was listed as contact info for parks and historic...I'm not sure if that is even correct as their website www.montcopa.org has other errors on it. They have an e-mail address contact link, but I couldn't get it to work.

Would this have something to do with the County Parks being a State and National Historic Site?

It's all on the same website, but you have to search a little.

The Honorable James R. Matthews, Chairman
Montgomery County Commissioners
One Montgomery Plaza, 8th Floor
Norristown, PA 19401-4817

Regarding your question, a county park is a county park is a county park. Whether or not it's of some historic nature is immaterial.

Another letter, this time properly addressed, certainly couldn't hurt.
