Default The education continues.

So, tonight I'm on duty, and I get this call to go pick up found property. While at the caller's house, she starts asking me questions about guns, inheriting them, registering them, etc. Then she asks about "permits" (sic)

I explained the process of applying for one, the fact that she doesn't need to have one to carry at her house, etc. Then, she asks if she "needs" a permit to carry.

Six months ago, prior to joining this site, my answer would have been, "Of course you do."

However, tonight, I was able to tell her, confidently, that if she is going to carry concealed, then yes she does. "But, if you were to just put that on your belt, and not conceal it, then you do not need a permit. Just don't get into a car with it on without a License to Carry."

She was amazed, and I had to explain a little more, but she got the point that OC is legal.

Excellent...

If your dept would be interested in some personalized "PA Gun Rights flyers" let me know. I could make some with your dept shield/info on the front.

To Meleanie: We love you, we miss you and most of all we thank you. Thank you for being you. A strong woman who stood up for what she believed in and in the process brought so many of us together even closer. We will use what we learned from you in continuing to contribute to the cause. Farewell my friend.
