Everything went fine. FNG19 and I got there about 15 minuets early and the council president recognised us and came over to say hi. He told us that when the solicitor gets there he wants to speak with us. When the solicitor shows up the Council president show us to the office along with a LEO and I assume a secretary. The solicitor tells us that there was a motion passed at the last meeting(a couple days after we were there) to ammend the ordinance. So they will change the sign in the next month.
They were all very nice and all this took place before the council meeting so as "not to waste our time" as the president put it. FNG19 and I both got the feeling they did'nt want us there. LOL You guys think maybe they've been reading the papers? ![]() ETA: GNBROTZ. When we were at the last meeting we gave the solicitor your contact info and he said he will be emailing you about ordinance change.[/quote] i gotta spread the love.... thats awesome pennywise, i could just their faces when they saw you guys. maybe that worked out for the best only a couple of us showing up instead of a gang of us.(makes us look professional) rep to all of you. bogey

I'm glad that you guys made it. I couldn't. Sucks. I live 5 minutes from Borough Hall. Had a Long day at work, rushed to the soccer game, then came home to a kid that still hadn't finished homework and a frantic g/f with a screaming baby. No way I could get up there and leave the house in that order.
Glad to see it worked out and the ordinance is getting changed. |

The sign is still not changed and it's been over a month. We're going to have to follow up at the next meeting....
12/9/2008 @ 7:30pm. 720 Maryland Avenue Prospect Park, PA 19076 I plan on attending this...I'm hoping Pennywise and FNG19 can come out again for this 1.

Before you do that, understand that just because the law changed doesn't mean the sign (yet) has been updated. You might want to call the borough President and see what the story is first.

Has there been any confirmation that the ordinance has been changed as promised?
