No, but I went along with their bs regulations. I'm not happy that I did now, but at that time I thought it was perfectly legal.

If they violate anything in the settlement, call Joshua Prince, esq.

Don't let them NOT accept the application. Take back the applicant's ID, stand up, step back and say "You have my application. Approve it, deny it or put it on hold. You have a certain period of time to do that. Do it and send me official notice by mail of the outcome as required within the time allowed." If you walk out with the app in your hand, they have won. Ask for a supervisor if you want. Audio/video record with something other than a cell phone if you want. Mail the Gun Unit commanding officer a complaint certified mail with proof of receipt if you want. Make a complaint to Internal Affairs if you have a problem with a police officer. Create a paper/video/audio trail and do not depend on winning a "he said, she said" argument. You need to leave the app with them so they have to deal with it in some formal way that can be seen by others.

We agree! Thanks for reaffirming this. I'll post here on Monday or Tuesday how it all goes.

Had to push it off a for a couple days. Haven't been able to get up there early because of work and a few unexpected events. As soon as I can go, I'll update here.
