Gun Belt
Looking for a reasonable priced gun belt for my S&W which weighs about 1lb 11 oz with full mag. Was looking on Amazon, but there was quite a few. Any ideas?
Thanks, DJ

Hard to beat hanks if you just want a standard leather 1.5" gun belt. The standard gunner get great reviews and is very affordable at $34.99. I have the premier double it cost a bit more then 2x's the gunner but it's probably the nicest and strongest leather gun belt I have ever worn. It comes with a 20 year warranty so I think it will last at least that.
Here's a review on them.

Re: Gun Belt
Spend ....400$ on a firearm and go cheap on belt and holster= bad carry experience
If you are buying a quality firearm then your kit should be quality too.
Get a belt from either of these and you can't go wrong. I have three Beltman belts and they are excellent and do the job for all my sidearms and a variety of holsters.

Re: Gun Belt
While I agree with getting a decent belt and holster, dropping $80 for a single belt can be rough for some of us. I'm digging Hodgie's recommendation; might be worthwhile to see if there's anything available locally too.

The 5.11 Tactical Trainer 1 1/2-Inch Belt works great for me, $39.00 doesn't hurt for the quality you get.

Re: Gun Belt
I have both a Beltman belt and a Hanks belt. I outgrew my Beltman belt and didn't want to put out the cash for another with the hope of getting back into it. Used it for several years carrying a Kahr CW9 and then a Ruger SP101 2.25" .357, which is a very heavy gun, no problems or sag over the years. I've been using the Hanks belt for a while now with the same satisfied result.

Re: Gun Belt
The beltman is great and for a long time that is who I used and recommended. I now advise others to get a Hanks espically if they holster a sub or pocket compact gun. The double thick Hanks is on par or better then anything the belt man has too offer with the added stiffener simply because it's guaranteed for 20 years. I Don't waste my money on cheap garbage nor would I recommend it too others.
Concealed carry is more popular then ever and there are more products and firearms being produced for this sole purpose every year. Some of them will suck others will be amazing all will cause the old prices to drop and level out. The beltmans isn't the only game in town anymore just the way it is.Last edited by Hodgie; December 6th, 2014 at 11:39 AM.
