Flame on.......

Carry the way you want. If you can't understand the reasons (they've been posted many times) that folks OC then simply don't do it.
Flaming people and name calling those who choose another method is childish and ridiculous..
Shame on you!

Jay5oh: i usually keep my mouth shut, and just listen, but this thread is about a regulation that you are not welcome to carry in a casino. The open carry debate has been visited entirely too many times. Go find one of those threads that hasnt been locked yet and complain about it there. Your beatign a dead horse.

Not to mention being part of the problem. His solution is to roll over and berate people who see things differently.

Why put coins in a slot machine when you can turn gunpowder in to noise?

Good info Steve, thanks.

This thread has nothing to do with Open Carry....or drawing attention to oneself. If you are going to carry into someplace that by rule (not law) forbids carrying, I think most would do so concealed. If you choose to carry open, that is your choice and not for discussion here. This thread is about the legality of carrying in a casino. Please take your discussion of OC vs CC elsewhere.

Flame on.......
I understand what you're saying because I used to think along the same lines.

What I've come to understand is that we are losing our rights for a number of reasons, including the reason that the general public who does not own guns have become almost completely brainwashed to believe that the only people who carry them lawfully are police and anyone who owns them is a "gun nut." It's worthwhile to routinely have law abiding citizens just peacefully going about their business with a gun on their hip and for the general public to view that situation as a completely normal activity by completely normal people.

A reason there are so many cries for banning guns in specific places by the gun grabbers is their belief that the mere presence of a gun is like having an armed nuclear weapon on site ready to go off at any instant. They have no familiarity with law abiding people carrying guns.

We all really need to try to educate everyone as best we can that gun owners are among their friends, neighbors, community leaders, etc. and that owning and carrying a gun is normal, etc. If someone's way of doing that is just carrying a gun on their hip, I say more power to them.

However, the off-duty LEO, like the non-LEO would have broken no law by having a weapon on the casino floor. Both will be asked to leave and secure the weapon in their vehicle.
Just out of curiosity, are there possible internal (i.e., disciplinary) repercussions for an LEO caught carrying in casino and perhaps reported to their department?

personally, i'm grateful that the founding fathers weren't afraid to rock the boat...recently, i'm glad that parker guy from DC wasn't afraid to rock the boat....i'm grateful that many other great americans along the way have not been afraid to rock the boat. otherwise, we would live in a much less free society. (we'd also have much less innovation, but that's another direction.)

If he's found carrying, asked to put the gun in his vehicle and complies....end of story.

If he refuses and gets arrested...........well.............
