Default Shocked while OCing

I was in the grocery store, browsing the seafood section. I started walking towards the shrimp and an employee about in his late 20s went through the double doors holding his hand out for shaking. I think to myself and smile, "Okay, I'll shake his hand, I've no idea why but I'll shake his hand." He thanks me and I ask, "why?." He tell me, "for expressing the second amendment, your right, which I fought for in the war." I give a shocked look and smile. I told him thanks for fighting, and how I did try to enlist myself when I was younger but was unable due to some prick medical examiner. We talked for a bit about the war, then we both went our ways.

A bit shocking, kind of makes me angry thinking about it because I was shafted by the medical examiner. >:/ They're short on volunteers now, but I still couldn't until I get these darned braces off my teeth... I'd get kangaroo or marsupial jokes if I didn't finish up my braces, they pulled 4 premolars.

Anyway, today was a good day, I made someone happy.

Very positive experience. He didn't have to say or do anything, but he did and I bet that made both of your days.
