I think I'd have to agree with that one.

But hey, he's carrying and standing up for all of our rights, so it really doesn't matter what he's carrying to me, as long as it's legal and he's responsible with it.

Statkowski sighting?

PS. Don't knock Hi-Point till you've tried 'em. Yeah, they are bulky ugly cheap firearms but they are accurate and they are reliable.

Yes I have read many posts at various gun forums stating that Hi Points may be fugly, but they are reliable, though you have to file the feed ramps or something or another first, after which they are very reliable.

Who give a damn what he was carrying he was excersing his rights!!!!! Way to go for him, however I will say a High Point goes into that category of guns that I would not even throw at some one lol.

Then you haven't shot enough of them yet.

I've shot three different models of Hi Point; the carbine, the .380COMP and the .45

The .380COMP with ghost ring sites is extremely accurate and fun to shoot. The gun is so heavy that there is literally no recoil whatsoever. The .45 has significantly less recoil than you'd expect too. And the carbine? It ain't pretty but it eats anything and rarely hiccups.

When my buddy first got his Hi-Point 380, I laughed at him just like any other gun snob would. However, I shot it and it rocks.

For carry, it'd have to live up the same standard I put behind any carry gun: 500 flawless rounds down the pipe. No FTF or FTE, no stovepipes. Can't say I've shot that many rounds through 'em to know.

Everyone Hi-point I've shot has gone bang everytime. They've been accurate too. They sure aren't pretty but I'd rather carry one than nothing.

If you could buy a Glock new for 150 OTD, 'no one' would want them either.
