    Arrow Revised LTCF application

There is now a revised (10-2012) application for a PA License to Carry Firearm.

I don't know why it was changed, but they consolidated some of the questions.

Wonder how long it will take for each county to use it. They all do stuff differently

I do like the first question asked:
IS YOUR CHARACTER AND REPUTATION SUCH THAT YOU WOULD BE LIKELY TO ACT IN A MANNER DANGEROUS TO PUBLIC SAFETY?
I can't imagine anyone being stupid enough to answer that in the affirmative, but maybe it's there to see how stupid people can be.

Well, the ATF asks, "are you a fugitive from justice" on the 4473. Wonder how many people on the run try to buy a firearm, and answer "yes"?

No one. That isn't the point. The purpose of the questions is to make the potential buyer aware of things that would disqualify him, and to give the authorities additional things they can charge him with if he should lie. As stated right above where you sign the 4473, it is a felony to make false statements with respect to the purchase of a firearm.

Yeah, lying on the 4473 IS itself a federal crime.

I say the same thing about supplying your own references, are you really going to list someone who might say something negative about you?

I filled n the blanks and printed off the new form and went to Bucks' Levittown office on Friday. Counter lady looks at it and says:

"They upgraded the form online but not in the computer system. You need to fill out this one (one on the counter)."
