Unhappy May have screwed up my application.

I just got back from appplying in phila, During the interview I froze up when talking about previous arrests from years ago and didn't remember a few times. No arrests where for anything serious and none led to fines or convictions etc. By not telling them will I know be declined? Or even arrested for false statement!!?
this is Philly so I'm guessing I already know the answer. Please tell me I'm going to be OK.

PPD will grill you at length, as part of the CCW application process. Since all the relevant questions have already been answered in one's application, one might wonder why is there a nosy, probing interview where embarrassing but irrelevant questions are asked.

The answer, as the OP will probably find out, is 100% entrapment. They ask irrelevant questions for the sole purpose of tripping you up into making a false statement, which will then be used to deny the application.

I strongly advise that you back there ASAP and ask to start over. They may take pity on you if you initiate this. But if they find the arrests, I predict you're T-O-A-S-T.

In philly they sit you at a desk with all the other applicants about four feet behind you, then grill you about nonsense..

as far as going back, I doubt there is any chance of pitty from the people.(city employees). also I'm not sure if I know 100% for sure all my arrests, not that there are many but they're meaningless moments from the distant past. What I need to do is get a background check on myself and reaply in a year.(I do have to wait a year if denied right?)

During the interview it was obvious to the woman that I was even having trouble remembering the details of what I did tell her, hopefully she remembers this and is the one who does my check.(not likely)

You need to immediately call the Gun Permits unitt, talk to the detective who interviewed you and clear up any problems. The point of the interview is so that they understand anything that may come up on your background. It is not to harass or embarass you. Actually, the fact that they talk to you leaves less up to their imagination when it comes to being denied or approved.

The following comes to mind: PA is a SHALL ISSUE state. If there's no history, no problem. Where does imagination come into this decision of granting a permit? The laws are very clear about what offenses are automatic cause for denial. Nonsense.

One of the reasons you can be denied is ling on your application. Shall issue only implies that the license will be issued if there are no disqualifying reasons, one of those reasons would include: failure to be truthful when answering the questions on the form. One of the questions on the form is about arrests and convictions. Gives you a chance to hang yourself.
