    Default Florida Permit Renewal-fingerprint card

I got my Florida non-resident permit renewal packet in the mail today. I have to submit the fingerprint card again and wanted to see if anyone could suggest a place to take it to in order for it to be completed and signed. I found a few older posts but things change.

    Thanks.

There are a number of choices (including Upper Darby, Chester Sheriff an U.Penn Police - see links). I did mine at U.Penn. a couple of months ago (the Phill PD will not do it, but U.Penn has a authorized independent police force). U.Penn will actually do multiple cards for you for the same $10 total cash price (if you want to do more than one state at the same time).

Just remember, wherever you get it done, to write in the address of the fingerprinting PD on the back upper portion of the card (even if it is already written in on the front of the card), or the print card may be rejected by Florida.

When needing prints for my Utah permit about 4 years ago I was told by Upper Darby Police they do not print for anything other than employment purposes.

I ended up going to the Chester COUNTY Sheriff (in West Chester, PA), who was more than willing to help out, even got my photo there. Be sure to bring a check or money order, CHESCO will not accept cash.

WILL be rejected. That happened to me when I last renewed Florida. I had to get a new card and have the prints re-done. Dunno why FL does that -- the officer who did my prints was quite perplexed, and a bit testy when I went in the second time.

I'm surprised they want new copies of ur prints for renewal. I'll keep that in mind and have them done in FL when renewal time gets close.
