Will there be an OC dinner nr Pittsburgh at any time?

I feel as a new member I may be stepping on other peoples toes if I try to organise one, esp if someone is already in the process

There will be, however a date has not been set for it yet. Montanya was in the process of planning such. I don't know what's happened since the initial stages, however.

I hate these kind of posts. Same with the "When will there be a group shoot ______".

Your post should be: I've checked with such and such restaurant and they are ammenable to having a group of OC's come in for dinner. Let's do it on this day at this time. PM to let me know who is coming so I can let the restaurant know.

or

I'm a member at such and such range and have spoken to the board and gotten permission for a group of us to shoot on this day at this time. Who would like to attend.

Stop asking others to set this stuff up for you and get out there and get it done if that is what you are interested in having happen.

Here's a problem I noticed with both Montanya's thread title AND this one.

Montanya's thread title was " OC Dinner Pittsburgh Area?"
when, in fact, it seems that it was more or less an idea to simply get together, and wasn't really a plan for an OC dinner.

THEN, when people click to read more, it's revealed in the first post that you are talking about an OC dinner.

CONFUSION is the result.
In montanya's thread, it became an OC vs CC thread.

I will not watch that happen again.




BA, If you wish to discuss plans for an OC dinner, that is perfectly fine.
I simply ask that you edit your thread title to more clearly let the viewer know what is "inside". Meaning, don't lure folks in who want to get together to eat without letting them know UP FRONT, that the intention is for an OPEN CARRY "event".

Note to those who are looking for a non-OC dining-type get-together... I'm close to posting a notice for something that is JUST THAT. A get-together with friends with no "carry method" stipulations. Stay tuned.
