CC/OC with round chambered

Same as everyone else. I carry a loaded gun.

An empty chamber is not a loaded gun. You can make it loaded very quickly and easily, but until you do it's not loaded.

The only time I carry a firearm without one in the chamber is for cowboy action competition because it is a range rule with them. The old SAA Colts and their present clones and revolvers geared towards this sport generally don't have firing pins transfers. So a loaded cylinder under the hammer is an AD waiting to happen.

Always have a round chambered. The time it would take to chamber a round may be the difference between life and death.

All my autos chambered.

All my revolvers(all SA) chambered. Those without transfer bars are carried hammer down between chambers or on "C click".

1911 - cocked and locked
double action revolver - full wheel
single action revolver - empty chamber under the hammer regardless of transfer bars or lack of.

The first single action revolvers had the firing pin resting out on the primer with the hammer down - the transfer bars haven't been invented yet.

Always chambered and full cylinder on defensive guns, oc, cc, or home. Antique single actions that I have hammer down on an empty chamber when using (I do not use these for defensive use).
