I live just inside the city limits, and if you guys remember the police shooting at the Duncan Donuts,,,, That was about 1 mile from my house, About 2 days later I arrived home from work to find 6, Yes 6 ATF agents waiting for me, They asked to see all my guns, I asked if this was an AFT convention outside my house, and then asked if they had a warrent, NO they didnt, So I asked them why they were here, Responce was the cop got shot with a 9mm, and I owned one,, I bought it about 1 year ago,,, I showed the crowd of ATF The one they asked to see, It was still in box,,,,
For me to carry in the open would be insane in this area, I would get to know all the police and mabey the inside of their cars,, What is it like out there in the country?? PB |

I'd have told them to take a hike, and come back with a warrant if they wanted to see my gun(s).

Could have asked them if they used the illegal PSP firearms registry...
Once I get my PA LTCF and a good amount of bail money, it'll be fun to try OC in Philadelphia. |

I guess one could just use a hunting license holder, and keep one's LTCF plastered on one's back. No need for an LEO to stop me to check.

Could be in charge of a FEDERALLY FUNDED gun violence task force....but that is just a guess.

I commend you on your cooperation with the ATF on this. I'm sure they didn't just pick your name out of a hat, instead they were assisting in a murder investigation. Most likely you were one of many people the ATF visited in the 48 hours after the murder. The reason for the visit: You own a 9mm, the murder weapon was a 9mm, did they suspect you...No, did they want to confirm that your 9mm was still in your posession...Yes. Now some may argue that this murder was treated differently because it was a Police Officer, and they'd be right, murdering a Police Officer will definitely elicit a greater response from within the Law Enforcement Community. Of course the same happened in this organization, when one of our members had his permit revoked, we as a group rallied around him, both financially and with well wishes, in an attempt to help him get his permit back, which in any group is the normal thing to do. Just curious, in reference to time, how long did this encounter last? And once you showed them the 9mm they were asking about did they leave and never come back?
