A complete non issue.
I O/C'd both my handguns. I went to Petsmart, jacket wide open if anyone was looking, I didn't notice. When I went up to the register to pay for the frisbees, all the girl said is "wow, 10 frisbees you must have allot of dogs". I know she saw my 1 gun, I had to move my jacket to get my hand in my front pocket for the money. Then the biggie, the mall. It was brutally hot in there so I immediately took the jacket off. I had about an hour to kill so I walked around the mall, O/Cing 2 handguns and nobody even noticed. Toddlers running around, teenagers, security, shoppers, not one look. If they did look I didn't notice. I did check all 4 entrances to the mall, absolutely no signs referring to firearms whatsoever. None! Stopped for a cup of coffee before going to the dinner at Wegmans, jacket wide open 2 guns visible. No issues. Went to the restaurant, they had a little room reserved for us so we were not in the general population of the restaurant. Some went to smoke some went to the bathroom and walked through the restaurant, no issues. A completely uneventful night for my O/C experience. I was quite surprised, I was carrying 2 guns, one of which is bright pink which can be seen from the moon. Will I open carry again, yes, most definitely. I found out something tonight, I walked with my head held high, and a spring in my step, I am legal. I'm proud of that! I exercised my right tonight lawfully, and it sure did feel good. Did I possibly scare a few? Of course I did. Know something, I don't care, its their fear not mine. Oh, and I got interviewed tonight, BY THE PRESS!!!!! Steve did also. They wanted me because I was the only female in attendance. I think I did us all proud. I tried not to keep it female slanted, I wanted to put it out there that there are responsible average Joe Q. Citizens that carry guns. We are not criminals, just plain ol' citizens. I hope coming from a female it might quell some of the fears people have about guns. Hey if girls carry guns its okay then. I hope something I said tonight changed at least one mind. It would be a good start. I met some wonderful people tonight. Good, honest, hard working people. And they're the criminals right?

Great job keeping an open mind and enjoying it Michele. And I know that with time OC, you will become more comfortable with and not think twice about it.
But just as interest, you said you typically dress so you can OC, but tonight, you dressed differently. How so? Can you explain what you did differently and why?

I usually wear my clothes (tee shirts, sweatshirts) over my belt.
Tonight I tucked my shirt in. Probably a smart move anyway since it would be much easier to draw without fumbling under a shirt. I always went out of my way dressing to conceal. Now, I will dress however I feel like it, and not specifically dressing just to conceal. I felt great about this tonight. I hope that those that do O/C or will O/C in the future will have the same kind of experience I did. My positive experience tonight changed my whole outlook on carrying. I just hope I at least changed one mind tonight, not only mine.
