Even gun people might mistaken it for a training gun as they are sometimes bright red or blue.

Can you fill me in (since no one else has asked) on how you did so?
I had it Dura Coated.
Some have questioned if I spray painted it myself, because, they were not aware of the colors Dura Coat now carries. Dura Coat is popular for black and for camo colors, mostly for long guns. Now they have jumped on the color bandwagon. Depending on what you want done and to what extent, it can be pricey.
The color I chose required a double process (baking). The gun had to be "whited" first before the bright color I chose would adhere brightly. I paid $225.00 for the gun and 4 mags.
They've also started doing "digital camo" which is simply gorgeous. Most good Dura Coaters will do any pattern or picture you want. Specialty requests i'm sure will be very very expensive.

Thanks!

Another question - I typed "Dura Coat" into Google, thinking I'd come up with the company, and boy was I surprised! (like http://www.duracoatproducts.com/main/ )

This place http://www.houtsenterprises.net/dur_all_colors.html has something they call Dura Coat, but the pricing is vastly different than your cost.

Can you enlighten me (us) further about the cost and type of your finish?

I'm a wild yellow kinda guy myself!
