Seriously congrats, its good to see that a judge will stand up for citizens and not side with LEO's even when they are blatently wrong on all sides of there reason. the sheriff was wrong and wouldnt admit his fault, it took way to much money and to much headach that should have ended with a piblic appology by the sheriff. and the sheriffs dept. paying the court cost.

They knew you were coming. They didn't like it.

People in the wrong do NOT like to be proven they are wrong. Not one bit.
To be proven wrong in open court would be an embarrassment.
If it went down as has been described thus far, they decided to save face today.

This would not have happened IMHO, without the SUPPORT that has been shown.

After today, a few less people will be afraid to exercise their rights.
After today, a few more LEOs will be afraid to deny your rights.

Make no mistake, this was a win, but the problem I have is that the Sheriff/LEO's from the outset had NOTHING TO LOSE. So are they upset they lost, maybe, are they legally/financially/anyway punished? Nope.
