Great attitude. All the people with "normal" screen names who have posted their experiences with the DelCo SO and the problems with same be damned! I'm special!

But you shouldn't have to be a bootlicker to get what the law requires. If you call yourself an American you might read up on equal protection of the laws. Applies even to people who don't kiss the sheriff's ass. I don't know the guy, true. But he's got a wide ranging and long reputation for a reason. I view him as a criminal and I am more afraid of him than any criminal. He's got more power. A judge should kick him back to the kennel where he belongs. |

i do not yet, my record is spotless, it is just taking to long for him to send me my acceptance letter, do you not understand this or do you like making inaccurate and false assumptions?

I have no experience with delco sheriff office. however my permet was smooth as silk in butler county. My brother however had a hell of a time in allegheny. It just seems like a few local sherrifs make it as difficult as possible without violating the law.

Interesting. I didn't have a single problem getting my LTCF from Allegheny County... took about two weeks...

Be patient. You will get your LTCF if you keep cool. Take a ride to Media and make the necessary inquiries.
I would wait until you get your LTCF in your hands before contacting the AG or making noises that the department is laying down on the job, no matter how true this may be. Having a face to face with the Sheriff may not be a good idea. In my opinion, you will be better served if you stay off his radar, if you know what I mean. |

I wonder if the sheriff himself is as bad as people make him out to be, or if he is oblivious to what goes on in his office. I waited longer than i wanted to for my LTCF but my wife got hers in less than one month, and the sheriff himself greated her and asked what she was there for. She told him for a LTCF adn he said good, right over there.
