I understand that. I think your post had an unintentional "defeatist" tone to it.

My point is that whether complaints make any headway or not we are obligated to try..

Question: Is the delco DA as much of an asshat as the Sheriff?

Or, is he of a similarly stupid mind and likely to circular file (and deny) the complaint?

WOW... Are you connected or something?

I put my application in before Thanksgiving and still have not heard anything. Did they contact your employer?

You can record a convo, if in fact you are one of two parties talking. And it does hold up in the court of law. The part that most get confussed is that a 3rd party can not record w/out asking or letting the parties know. That is why the LE needs permission from a judge ( LE is a 3rd party) You do not need one for a person that is wired. I hope you all understand.

This is dangerously incorrect information. PA is a 2-party consent jurisdiction, or more if there are more than 2 people conversing. EVERYONE who is a party to a phone conversation must consent to a recording.

Federal law only requires 1 party consent, but PA law is stricter. It's not just that a secret recording is inadmissible in court; you commit a prosecutable crime if you secretly record your own phone call with someone who is unaware of the recording.
