It appropriate because he IS breaking the law. There are no exceptions. He has 45 days. I fail to see the reluctance on peoples part to file the complaint.

The Sheriff's Office is in the Borough of Media so I guess you'd have to go here:

As for why more people don't file the complaint, I can only speak for myself, I could not financially afford the time off from work that would be involved, not only to file, since I work during their hours, but also if it should go to court. I am living from paycheck to paycheck due some bad times with lay offs and spending a winter in the hospital two years ago.

I do applaud those who can take up the fight.

I'm not sure you actually have to go there to file. Just send the form in certified mail. A phone call should clarify this.

Just because you file the complaint doesn't mean the DA is required to file charges. I suspect he won't as he will be in bed with the sheriff. You would then need to get a lawyer and file a writ with the court to get the DA to show cause as to why he didn't bring the charge. Then it's up to the judge to require the DA to move forward. Now an honest judge would order the DA to proceed. Wait, judges are lawyers too. never mind.

still required to make a file on it, and I'd assume its not the first complaint on this. But either way the sheriff is gonna get wind of you not going to sit back and hope today is the day you can defend yourself. In the long run, they'll win but atleast you fight for what you believe in and aren't scared to take on the system.

Please don't discourage people from doing the right thing. That is part of the reason we have these problems.

The point I made earlier is that everyone who can needs to file the complaint. The DA can ignore one (after he makes the file on it) but he can't ignore a steady stream of them.

imagine if just everyone on this forum started to file, that'd be enough right there to turn the head of the DA.

I didn't mean to discourage anyone. I just don't want anyone to think it's a slam dunk solution.
