Not much time for a post, but get that letter and scan it and post it. I'm crapola on time anymore, can anyone get me the phone number for this sheriff's office for if the time comes for a call in campaign?

If the google adsense check comes in anytime soon from my site, i'll be forwarding you cash to your paypal if still needed.

Also if you ever need to appear at court or anything and want someone there let me know man.

This shit can not stand.

So the Sheriff has capriciously denied a law abiding citizen of the Commonwealth a basic right that many of our forefathers died to preserve.

For all lawyers on the board, here is a course offering that everyone should take:

http://www.legalspan.com/pbi/calenda...8-150226-85115

If we do not make it a legal issue with what really amounts to government tyranny and despotic behavior by a government official, we've lost. Peacefully asserting your rights is not dangerous -- it's the duty of every American. When a government official is made "uncomfortable" by citizens merely exercising their constitutional and statutory rights, that official should be immediately forced to resign.

I think a civil rights lawsuit would make a good example in this case.

Wow, finally got around to reading this thread.

Definitely sounds like the constable can see what he had for lunch (hint, hint)

I don't think you have a choice in the matter if you want to get your license reinstated. I'm sure the constable told the sheriff "wonderful" things about you and your gun.

This was posted on OCDO my Mike (moderator/co-founder)

Mike's Post:

Sheriff's 1st letter to Greg: http://www.gnbrotz.com/images/sheriffletter.jpg

Sheriff's 2d letter to Greg: http://www.gnbrotz.com/images/revocation.jpg

This incredible development calls for invocation of the NATO doctrine - an attack on Greg Brotz is an attack on all gun owners!

This case is what we have beeb waiting for in Pennsylvania to put to rest rumors of risk to your LTCF for lawful open carry. Greg has promised to donate any remaining money to the PA Firearm Owners Association.

Article I $ 21 Defense Fund for Greg Brotz

Greg needs at least $2,500 to initiate legal action by bright and early Tuesday morning - that's why OCDO needs all members to give some money to Greg via his pay pal account - go directly to
http://www.paypal.com, click "send money," then "send money online," to Greg's account by entering: gnbrotz at embarqmail dot com.

If you can, we ask you give $121 in commemoration of Article I, § 21 of the Pennsylvania constitution which provides that:

"The right of the citizens to bear arms in defence of themselves and the State shall not be questioned."

The nutshell facts in this case are as follows: Greg went to vote openly carrying his handgun. A constable asked him not to do so, and Greg politely agreed to a consensual interview about the matter before voting; but after reviewing the law with Greg, the Constable indicated to Greg it was not unlawful for him to carry at the polls and that he would not stop him from voting - Greg voted, and left. A few days later Greg received an Orwellian revocation letter from the Franklin County Sheriff at http://www.gnbrotz.com/images/revocation.jpg.

I personaly can vouch for Greg and I personally just sent him $121. Please do what YOU can, right NOW. Let's roll!

You have a letter from the sheriff stating that open carry is legal, he then revokes your license for "apparent illegal activity".

sounds like official oppression to me.

Just got done reading both letters from the Sheriff. And I sent you what I could afford $$ right now. More will be coming next Payday.

If you haven't read the letters. You need to. This really needs to be brought to everyones attention. If someone just deems you as threatening. And would report you, You can lose your license according to this Sheriff. Hell, my mom would report you because she is so gun shy, and then you lost your license next. I know it isn't right. But we have to make sure this is corrected and then that the word is spread so that it won't happen again.

Everyone better spread the word around. And we as a group should make sure Gnbrotz has the $$ he needs to file this appeal immediately. Just $5 from everyone here will give him way more than he needs.

Then we need to follow up and get after the Sheriffs that did this. Don't think it won't be you next. Go ahead, Sit back and go "OHHHH, thats to bad". But we all need to get off you asses and help do something about this. I'm not sure where to start. But if someone smarter than me on this situation gets it rolling, I will jump in with both feet.

Dan, this should be on our Front Page.

I followed a state constable up RT. 15 this morning, I kept wondering if it was the same guy or not. Kinda weird, it would have been kinda cool to freak him out by chewing him out about the whole thing . But I wouldn't as it might give them a heads up about possible legal action.
