It would be a privilege to contribute to your legal fund. I think you should also consider running against this "Constable" in the next election. We'll talk about suing after we get all of this cleared up.

i personally feel you should be yelling it from rooftops, this is something everyone needs to hear about. as long as he is being honest, and accurate in what he says its nothing that isn't going to be known anyway, he has nothing to hide..

the more exposure the better IMO, this isn't about getting legal advice other than where to find a good lawyer its about getting the word out at this point..

Angry Re: Hassled at the polls for OCing

The sheriff probably reacted based upon the account that was given to his office by the Constable, and unfortunately acted without giving you the benefits of your right to Due Process. Fortunately for you, you were never arrested or charged with anything, and this should be a simple process, but not one I wiould undertake without a lawyer. In the interim, you should contact the Sheriff's Offica and find out exactly what "Illegal Activity" occured. If they refuse to tell you, then contact an attorney immediately, because they are going to start covering their butts. Whatever you do, please do not get upset with anyone on the phone, and do not indicate your intent to appeal or seek counsel!! Perhaps, if there is no belief that they will have to cover their butts, they may be stupid enough not to.

I am sorry this happened, and if you need any assistance, I will be glad to help. Sorry this is happening to you. This sounds like a case where the Sheriff believed he was the absolute authority on the matter,, and probably didn't seek the appropriate counsel on the matter, or he would have been advised to charge you with something before he revoked your LTCF.

We all cheered him for his actions, in standing up for our rights under the law, now it's time for all of us to help him in this fight, because if we allow his LTCF to be revoked over BS, then it could easily happen to any of us.

We should also consider a letter writing campaign to the Sheriff of that county to explain to him the error!

I want him to win this legal fight as much as the next guy. I'd be cautious about saying something on a public forum that could possibly hurt the case. That's all I'm saying.

Total bull shit dude. Please don't post anything else without advise of council.
This will likely be handled swiftly.

Get an attorney
Have him call the sheriff dept.
I believe this would go through the court of common pleas, much like being denied a LTCF for any reason.

I have no doubt you will have much support from this group myself included.

BTW: I feel kind of bad about the picture in post office crack.

That's sage advice, wait until your atty advises you to yell from the rooftops before doing so...

We need to organize a write-in campaign. Any of the lawyers want to compose something?
