Default Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day

I just thought I would share with you some pics and info about the big rally we held in our state capital yesturday. We met at the Prairie Convention Center where we had guest speakers. Among the speakers was none other than Mr. Otis T. McDonald. What a big hearted, down to Earth, humble man he is. He made a great speech, and shared his story and afterwards I had the honor of visiting with him and he signed my IGOLD envelope.
At 1:20 we marched from the convention center down to the capital steps in near lock step. Then we rallied at the steps before going in and lobbying our reps and senators. We were lobbying about a plethera of good bills and bad bills related to 2A but the main focus was on restoring our right to bear arms here in Illinois.
The first year of IGOLD there were about 500 people in attendence, the 2nd year about 1200, the 3rd year about 2500, last year there were 4500 and this year we estimate we had an attendance of right at 7,000 law abiding gun owners!
This morning the house advanced our CCW bill to 2nd reading and we are now holding it there to add our amendments and then we're going to push it to 3rd reading in the veto session this fall.
Here's some pics of the days events.
