Concealed Carry???

I like to read the ever popular Open and COncealed Carry thread. After thinking about things for a while I am here to ask the question. Why do we have to "ask" the government for permission to carry a weapon. Defending yourself is an inaliable right given to us by God. The government and no person or people can take that away. If we are truely free why is it we have to ask "permission" to exercise a Right that the governement has no power over or the power to take away??? This goes for building permits on PRIVATE propety that you own and the like...Why in a FREE nation do we have to ask for permission to do certain things or submit in certain ways (stopping at a checkpoint to have your "papers" checked). Are we truely a FREE nation or do we cling to our guns and think we are actually FREE as long as we have those???

No, I've had it figured out for a while. I was just making a point about it. Pointing out the hypocrasy of it and being enraged at the lack of outrage among the general populace ie. sheep.

My main point is that many gun owners dont realize that we are not longer free and they seem to think that as long as we have our guns that we are free. When in fact, this is an illusion. They next question is how do we truely become free as the founders intended.
