Default Can't Conceal Carry in Malls?

I finally got my conceal carry permit. One of the places the Sheriff said that I could not carry was in the mall because there are usually posted security guards. Therefore, I don't need a gun because the security guards will protect me (lol). I didn't think this sounded right so I want to see what you guys think.

your sheriff is an idiot or a liar. Ask him to choose which one.

I Open Carry in Robinson Mall on occasion, never had a problem, I generally try to avoid malls though, too many people, no good stores.

When you figure out who exactly is responsible for YOUR safety, that person should carry concealed in malls and other places with the same signage.

Just my take.

Washington mall is ok. Gander Mountain might have a good deal once a year, but I like taking my girlfriend to the movies there.

So, let's see now. This is a forum that can be read by ANYONE. You just got your permit in Greene County on Friday, June 29 and you live in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania. Shouldn't be too hard for the Greene County Sheriff to figure out who "ldm6886" is. They can revoke your permit if they determine that you are of bad character, etc.

Then you come on here and post a legitimate question, but carry on in a mocking and disrespectful way. As someone who is not dependent on the good graces of the Greene County Sheriff for my LTCF, I can say that he apparently deserves to be mocked. But you might not want to say so. At least not in such a public way.

Then, just to stick it to yourself, I mean to him, I mean to you, whatever, you add this gem: "I figured he was dumb or lying because I could not find any laws that specifically prohibited concealed carry in malls. So, I'm off to the mall with a Glock 26" People, use some common sense in what you post.

Please revoke my LTCF for speaking freely on how a sheriff told me about a law that did not exist.. please do that so i can become a millionaire based on having my rights violated.

You are responsible for your own safety, so unless the mall is clearly posted against concealed carry (and even then it may not matter) exercise your right.

OR

You could ask one of the armed guards to personally escort you since the sheriff implied they are there to protect you.

I carried in the Nittany Mall this evening while I dined in Garfield's. No big whoop.
