Because they just KNOW that you (MWAG) are a law-abiding citizen, who just happens to be doing something within your rights they disapprove of. I mean, when is the last time you saw a criminal casually walking his dog, going so far as to clean up after the pooch, just as a cover for his casing activities? Pretty far-fetched, right? They just KNOW, that as a law-abiding citizen (and neighbor) that there will be no ill consequences to them at your hands. Basically, they just want to make your life difficult. As if you're going to give up your RIGHTS and guns because the police showed up. "I'm done" is what they hope for. Go back and read some of Jahwarriors reports about OC confrontations. Or anyone's, for that matter. They approach you because they KNOW that while you ARE armed, you will do nothing with it provided they are simply voicing their displeasure. They are taking it out on you, as a proxy for the entire gun-owning community. If they can bother one individual (firearms owner, meat-eater, gas-guzzler-driving, porn afficianado.....take your pick) a day, they are doing well. In their closed little minds.

On the post office thing remember... you can't have a gun on postal property, so if the parking lot where you leave your car ( or truck ), with the gun in it, is on postal property...you're still in violation. Just something to remember

That would violate the confidentiality section of 6111.

(i) Confidentiality.-- All information provided by the potential purchaser, transferee or applicant, including, but not limited to, the potential purchaser, transferee or applicant's name or identity, furnished by a potential purchaser or transferee under this section or any applicant for a license to carry a firearm as provided by section 6109 shall be confidential and not subject to public disclosure. This has been gone over numerous times and I conceded that point. Besides I think you looked up Sales 6111, Not License To Carry which is 6109

This would be great but get one of those kids cowboy outfits and put the gun belt and toy guns on the dog too!
