Default Poll for those who carry concealed

Given what I have read in some of the threads on this site to date...I have a questions for people who CC...or used to, and now OC.

How much professional training have you had with your carry weapon? Has participating in training influenced your decision to OC/ CC?

If people want to respond to the thread, I'd be interested to know what TOPICS were covered in some of the classes you participated in.

Thanks.

40+ : Insights, ATSA, etc...

Has it influenced my decision to CC?

I can only speculate, since I have training. IOW, had I not had training I do not know if I would still CC *since I do have training*... So I have no idea.

Not sure what the diff is anyway as training is not required for OC or CC in Pa., so who cares?...

I oc & cc ,usually at the same time . I don,t know how to vote on this poll since I have gone through training of one type or other since back in 60,s , including NRA, police , military etc . I have been an NRA certified instructor since 1985 .

You can just vote in both polls. This one and the prior one on OC:

I've had very basic NRA class many years ago. I plan on getting real training this year. I won't make it my resolution, as those are made to be broken.

I took a NRA safety class when I joined my range as required. Laughed to myself the whole time as I could have taught the class.

What is "training" anyway?

All police are "trained" and how many accidently/negligently shoot themselves or others every year?

Personally I feel if a person takes it upon themselves to study proper firearms usage and safety and tactics and practice properly they should consider themselves trained.

Professional training time, not carrying.

Greg. I apologize for voting before I read your first post.

The poll asks about level of training and subject matter covered. Your first post clarify's that for people who now OC

I do have well over 200 hours of professional training but do not OC so won't list my training experience or what was covered.

Sorry
