I was just informed that I will be getting my letter. I was also told that if I contact the sheriff and agree to CONCEAL for soccer games that he will reinstate it. I don't see that happening. This is just like sheriffs sending out letters with LTCF telling people they HAVE to conceal. Any help is appreciated. I AM going to call him as soon as I officially receive the letter and ask him on what basis it is being revoked as I have not committed ANY violations that would condone this. Also, do they have to tell me who complained? Can I file a suit against the sheriff for illegally pulling my LTCF and incurring any attorney's fees for no reason?

ETA: My understanding from the conversation was that he will want me to agree to conceal "for the soccer crap" but I don't know..he might want me to conceal ALL THE TIME" BULLSHIT!

I guess these stupid asses don't realize that taking it FORCES me to OC?

Well, you have two options.. 1. stand your ground and fight it. 2. Concede and cover up.

Be sure to mention Ortiz v Commonwealth, and the fact that courts from county level all the way up to the Supreme Court of PA have ruled OC is not illegal, nor is it justification to revoke a license.

Yes i would definitely threaten to file a suite that is dam ridiculus.

I don't think I would threaten. I would set up a meeting with the sheriff and tale your lawyer.

No I am not going to threaten him. I just want to know exactly what my options are. I don't want to be thinking I CAN sue his ass if I have no grounds. IANAL you know... but this shit is RIDICULOUS. He has NO GROUNDS for this. I know it's at "his discretion" but then he needs that checked out because I didn't DO anything except OC at a soccer game and someone didn't like it.

At the very least have a witness there when you talk with him. You don't want the talk to be a he said she said meeting.

Good advice after the fact you can let us know what happens. Talk to Pa Patriot on the phone or through e-mail. but don't hang yourself out to dry by continuing to post

I know. That's the part that ALWAYS amazes me! Someone got pissed off cuz you were OC'ing at a soccer game. They say "Conceal or I'll revoke!" You refuse & they revoke. Now, by law, you HAVE to OC 100% of the time (I know, the car yadda yadda yadda...)
