Default need help in pennsylvania ~ LTCF revoked for OC

On the night of 5/27/07 I was walking from a friends house to a corner bar in my own neighborhood. Before entering the bar I was stopped by three squad cars and five officers with guns drawn screaming and running up to me with a firearm to my head they then proceeded to rip the gun off of my hip and asked me in the most impolite way possible to place myself on the sidewalk. I complied and asked the reason why I was being stopped. The officer shouted at me and told me I had a firearm in plain sight. I told the officer I had a CCW and the firearm was under my name in which time he proceeded to let me stand up to explain myself. My firearm and license were then taken from me and I was told why they were taken from me was because I was in a dangerous neighborhood and it was for my protection. I went to retrieve my license and was told it was being revoked under Title 18 6109 (e)(1)(i) but my situation did not seem to fall in this most ambiguous clause. I asked the sheriff at the time what ways I would be able to appeal for my license return and in his own words I was told to wait one year and then write a letter explaining myself. I did this and then was told by the newly elected sheriff in his own words, "Look kid just take it to court". I come hear pleading for help with anybody to help resolve this situation.

You obviously didn't wait one year if it's only been two months since the incident. But now that your allowable period for appeal is past, you have to wait.

Sent you a PM regarding more info.

If you were doing nothing other than OC, no, the sheriff can NOT legally revoke you for mere OC.

Let me verify..
1) Your gun was confiscated?
2) You were revoked ? When and how were you notified.

Apparently sheriff Keuerleber wants to meet PAFOA, a la Greg Rotz revocation:

He should have taken the time to learn the laws regarding firearm carry, considering he is the issuing authority. That's very irresponsible on his part.

Maybe he meant to write 5/27/07. It can happen to anyone when nervously writing, or when writing a check and distracted at the same time.

edit- well there's the Gorilla now!

Cripes, this OC vs cops and sheriffs thing has to go county by county...

I agree. It took the Gorilla damn near 29 minutes to get here. That is totally unacceptable Rich!

As for your "county by county" statement I am starting to think you are correct. I guess my thinking that one letter SHOULD make its way to every county is totally wrong.

Is there no reasonable method of communicating with all the counties at the same time?

Sorry to be repetitive but again... Lets have a weekend celebration in central PA. The media would pick up on it & educate LEO's in the process!

Did the original poster ever receive a letter of revocation via certified mail?
